Hey,

Welcome to my blog. This blog is all about learning Useful French. Now before you start thinking what do I mean by Useful French. Here’s my own little personal story..

I had no interest in learning French or any other language whatsoever, I was already bilingual and keeping up with the demands of being perfectionist in two languages is already more than enough. But anyways, I had some urgent requirement to learn French - to shine up my CV for application to some MBA colleges. So I enrolled in classes for learning French, (Yes, I went to classes as opposed to the online programs I recommend, but the recommendations are genuine). The first few days were easy and fun, I never knew I am good at picking up languages.

So I thought lets do some testing and found an online French pal who was interested in learning English. We thought, it will benefit us both. However, the first hour of our conversation left me blank and mumbling for right French words. That for me was both a discouraging and an ‘Áha’ moment, I realized how little I knew but I realized something more - this is something that a lot of people must be going thru, so lets blog about it.

This blog is my notes, lessons, chapters - whatever you may call them for useful French. Here, I discuss not just how and what to speak in French (as in Conversational French) but why and where. So, instead of going about telling you how to take directions from Airport, I have gone ahead to discuss everything you need to know about reaching Paris from CDG, including all available means - their signs, prices, alternates, ticket counters etc. The idea is to give you a head start in French that is useful and immediately applicable for you!

Thanks,
Yours Learning French Critic
